We are now looking for a specialist physician in geriatrics.

As part of our team, you will work in a multidisciplinary manner with the elderly patient in focus.

Your workplace

The Geriatrics Section is part of the Medical Clinic. The Geriatrics Section consists of a care ward with up to 24 beds, where we work in a multidisciplinary and team-based manner according to CGA (Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment) with the elderly patient in focus. The section includes a specialized memory clinic, where we work in a team with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, neuropsychologists, and healthcare administrators.

We are a developing organization and in early 2025, we moved our care ward to newly renovated and more suitable premises, which we see as an opportunity for a fresh start for geriatrics, where you can help influence the development.

As a physician in the Medical Clinic, there is an opportunity for on-call work, where we consider your previous experiences and assess which on-call tasks work for you. For example, there is the possibility of weekend on-call work.

Your tasks

As a specialist physician with us, your focus will be on specialized elderly care. You will work alongside well-educated and competent staff from various professional categories, where you will alternate your work between the care ward and the memory clinic.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues to develop and build the future geriatrics section, where we want to play a significant role in the development of close care for the geriatric patient.

Your knowledge and skills

We are looking for you who are a specialist physician in geriatrics. It is important to us that you have an interest in the elderly patient and want to be part of our development of geriatric care.

Your personal qualities are of great importance for teamwork, and we appreciate that you are an open, positive, and engaged person. Other valued qualities include flexibility, ease of collaboration, and a desire to help develop the organization. You are motivated by helping people and approach your tasks with patience, precision, and the best interests of the patient in mind. You should have very good knowledge of the Swedish language.
